Join us for a report on the most recent research on how New Jersey municipal leaders are addressing the management challenges and opportunities created by the fiscal crisis. Mayors, Business Administrators and State leaders will examine the hard decisions and different approaches that municipalities are taking to handle budget shortfalls and tax caps. What services should be provided, eliminated or re-imagined? What revenue or cost avoidance strategies can be implemented? What leadership and management skills are needed by government officials in this new paradigm? Two panels will explore the impact of property tax caps and the economic recession on service delivery and the role of municipalities in New Jersey.
